not if he's being brought back as a enforcer, i thought MacLaren was the nuclear deterent on the Leafs this season not Colton Orr.

At some point, if you want to change the team culture, you've got to make moves like this to show that work ethic and toughness are respected.

I think he'd be the perfect 2nd line winger experience/leadership/skill at this point in his career, still very valuable to any team that acquires him.

Yeah, Iggy was arguably one of the worst players on the ice all through that ECF.

The guy can't carry a line anymore. I still don't get why Bylsma was so committed to putting Dupuis with Crosby.

100 percent. I think he did everything asked of him and then some.

I read something about before the season started, Randy said to him if he wanted to work his bag off and get into good shape there would be a spot for him on the team. I think he responded well and deserves his shot.

Obviously he's got hands of stone and doesn't bring much else to the table. But I thought aside from the obvious confidence he brought to some of the smaller guys, there were actually some guys where this line would go out and press the forecheck, make some big hits in the offensive zone and get an offensive faceoff. effectively swinging some momentum as they should.

i am not ready to go back to the signing old former stars model... I like the youth movement... call me new fashioned.

If MacLaren is going to be there I wouldnt bring him back at all, IMO, MacLaren was the champ this yr. I wasn't impressed with Orr's fighting , he had that one against Scott and when he jumped Kaleta but he wasnt dominant like yrs pass.

Agree with you here. Not sure what Iggy brings to the table if he couldn't be effective with that supporting cast in pitt
